We were introduced to WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network) last fall at Essence magazine's Young Woman Leadership conference. We fell in love with the non profit organization and loved their passion for improving woman across the world. Ween is a coalition of women of all ages and races committed to supporting, promoting and defending the balanced, positive portrayal of women in entertainment and in society. They are dedicated to improving the quality of life of women and young ladies throughout the world. As trendsetters, they are utilizing their impact and visibility to effect positive social change in the following areas: health care, financial literacy, personal development and professional development through corporate social responsibility, media impact and grassroots programs.
Ween is currently hosting a countrywide tour of successful women having straight talk interactive networking sessions with a 100 women in each city. During these sessions mentor ship driven conversations are made within the areas of health, financial literacy, professional and personal development.We encourage all goGIRLS to go and bring your friends, sisters, and mothers I promise you will leave the event feeling empowered and motivated! goGIRL will be attending the Washington, DC Event see you all there!
